Time: 08:04am Description: Hi Devotees.. Last Sunday (05/12/05 ) our family visited the temple . Nataraj Gurukkal said the renovation work is going on well and the same needs money for speedy completion. Floods has lashed the entire tamil nadu but our temple and its sorroundings are safe. As said before the Rendam Katalai Mariamman temple needs immediate attention.Infact it Ganesh and main deity Mariamman sannidhi had collapsed .If is really heart crumbling to see this.The Pujari for this temple also died last week.Devotees I Sincerely request that we all should develop these kind of small temples in and around our Thandanthottam.To start with atleast we can renovate the shed / Koorai (with coconut leaves ) that was existing in this temple . |

There is one more amman temple by name Rendaam Katalai near our Thandamthottam . This temple also requires immediate attention .Would like this website to cover that temple also.Also for Donations can we all plan a online payment facility. Also me and our family are ready for any help needed to improve our temple . Time: 07:59am Description: I just have a suggestion to each and every devotee of Shri.Muthuvelayudhaswamy.We all know that the temple renovation cost exceeds Rs.10 lakhs or more. I am under the opinion that "Little drops of water makes the mighty ocean". So what i was planning to tell everyone is that , keep a "Hundial"..at every home .. ie At your pooja room, just as you give your kid a piggy bank to save some money. Whenever you feel like devoting something to god, put that to that hundial.When some of our relatives comes discuss the same with them and if they are willing , show them the hundial at home to contribute to our god. It may be a mere amount but it is a good one to start with.Think in this perspective , if we are just taking a mere amount of 500 devotee houses, ( I know that the number will be much more) but for example.. and if one house hundial can contribute an amount of Rs.500 with in a time gap of 3 to 4 months , then the amount is big Rs 2.5 lakhs, which is 25% of the whole amount. I do have a system like this at home and beleive me , in the last 6 months, the amount in that hundial collected is a pretty big amount. One another way is that , everyone spends a lot for all our pleasure activities, so we can think about putting 1% (very less right) of our salary to hundial every month, which will surely serve to be big in the near future. |
